California Bay Builders were outstanding professionals, our project was a full custom built 850 sq. ft. accessory dwelling unit with functional kitchen and bathroom spaces. It was not a small project and the construction professionals, led by Idan, did a great job of organizing, explaining details and processes and through many of the changes I had requested along the road. Most importantly I felt very comfortable due to the constant contact I had with Idanand department supervisors. They always answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I was always in the loop and aware of all the different things that were happening. It was my first home build and I was very nervous. There is so much that goes in to building an ADU. We bought our first home in December of 2021. Our home was perfect in every way from the outside, but inside it was very outdated. My wife was searching on Pinterest tirelessly every single night trying to find an idea of what we want our kitchen to look like. We decided that we really loved quartz countertops with white cabinets and began the search for a contractor to execute our vision. After searching on Houzz we stumbled upon California Bay Builders. We called for a quote and were greeted by a kind gentleman at our doorstep two days later. We went over our saved Pinterest photos and he assured us that they could replicate it on our home. remodeled our house in San Jose and it wasn't an easy task. Retaining wall needed replacing and the entire interior needed to be gutted and all new electrical/plumbing. I had a few bids from a couple contractors - all soso. Idan was thorough with all the details during the walkthrough and also with all work that was going to get done. Every step was explained and easy to understand. They also helped us to choose materials that would add value to the property for when we decide to sell, which never crossed our mind. Which all in all is also hard to decide when there is so many options. The job site was always clean and they took the time to describe the details of the process. We did not feel rushed or pressured at all. It was overall a long but simple process. The house looks new again and the kitchen came out fantastic!Read More
